Meet Kristin Bryant

 Kristin  Bryant has been a resident of Reynoldsburg since 2003, with the  exception of an 18 month span in 2010 and 2011. Kristin was a  single-mother who was actively involved with her son, Darien's athletic  endeavors which included Reynoldsburg Youth Football, Easton Youth  Hockey Association, Shadywood Baseball and the Columbus East Soccer  Association. Darien also played three seasons of football for  Reynoldsburg High School and three seasons of ice hockey for the PRPC  Ice Prowlers. Kristin served as the head coach of the 4th grade boys'  basketball team at St. Philip School and as a Board Member and Treasurer  of the Reynoldsburg Football Parents' Association.


Kristin  and Darien launched a community service organization for high school  student-athletes called "Raiders Serve the 'Burg" in 2009, modeled after  another organization in Virginia. Kristin volunteers as the Recruiting  Coordinator for the Reynoldsburg High School Football Team, educating  student-athletes and their families on the athletic recruiting process,  academic standards and NCAA requirements and policies. Since 2011,  Kristin has helped more than 50 student-athletes achieve their goal of  playing football at the next level. 


After  earning her Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School,  Kristin started Bryant Law Offices, LLC, a general practice, in 2006.  Bryant Law Offices, LLC provides a variety of discounted legal services  to low income and indigent clients and accepts referrals from the Legal  Aid Society of Columbus. Kristin is a member of the Columbus Bar  Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal  Defense Lawyers, the Women Lawyers of Franklin County. Bryant Law  Offices, LLC is a member of the Reynoldsburg Chamber of Commerce and  Kristin attends St. Pius Catholic Church in Reynoldsburg.


In  2016, Kristin was elected by voters in Reynoldsburg's Ward 1 to serve  as their representative on the Franklin County Democratic Party's  Central Committee. She is also the President of the Reynoldsburg Area  Democrats and the Chair of the Third Friday Democratic Luncheon. Kristin  a member of the Franklin County Democratic Lawyers Club and the  Franklin County Democratic Women's Club, and an ally member of the  Stonewall Democrats and the Central Ohio Young Black Democrats.

Kristin  is originally from St. Marys, West Virginia. She is a 1988 graduate of  St. Marys High School, the only public school in Pleasants County, WV.  Kristin started piano lessons at the age of 4, she was a girl scout and a  member of 4-H. She played basketball and threw shot put for her high  school as well as participating in the marching band, jazz band, wind  ensemble and choir. She taught piano lessons and worked at the public  library and in her father's law office.


Kristin  earned a Bachelors of Music Education and a Regents Bachelor of Arts  from West Virginia University where she participated in the Pride of  West Virginia marching band, the WVU Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert  Band and Jazz Ensemble. She was a member of Tau Beta Sigma, Helvetia  Academic Honorary and Chimes Academic Honorary. After graduation,  Kristin moved to Norman, Oklahoma where she attended the University of  Oklahoma, earning post-graduate credits, and she worked for a general  practice law firm.
